Coffee culture has been flourishing for hundreds of years
Coffee is said to have its origins in south-western Ethiopia, where it was enjoyed as early as the 9th century. Incidentally, this is also where the well-known Arabica bean comes from. In the course of the 14th century, coffee was exported to Arabia. From there, it spread to Europe via the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century. Today, we enjoy many different varieties of coffee every day - including espresso, flat white, cappuccino, cold brew and, of course, the classic, much-loved Americano.
